Young migrants from Ghana and Guinea search for food on a waste dump, with the Spanish exclave Ceuta in the background, on August 21, 2018 in Fidneq, Morocco. Still many migrants try to cross the border between neighbouring Morocco and Ceuta, separated by a 6 metres high fence. The migrants often travel up to twelve months to reach the border towns close to Ceuta or Melilla, hiding in the forest from local police forces and use the morning light to climb the fence or to cut wholes into the fence. The Guardia Civil, Spanish Border Patrol, has recently reported about violent attacks from the migrants towards police officers with quicklime.
